This manual covers everything you need to know to operate, maintain, and enjoy your cart safely and confidently. Please read it in full before your first drive. Keep it accessible for future reference — a digital copy is always available on your customer portal at nexonevfleet.com.
- Accelerator Pedal — right foot pedal. Press gradually to accelerate. The cart will not respond immediately after powering on or selecting a gear — allow 2–3 seconds before pressing.
- Brake Pedal — left foot pedal. Activates hydraulic drum brakes. Releasing the accelerator also engages electromagnetic regenerative braking automatically.
- Gear Selector (D / N / R) — switch located on the dashboard or console. D = Drive (forward), N = Neutral, R = Reverse. Always allow 2–3 seconds after switching gears before pressing the accelerator.
- Parking — place selector in N (Neutral). The electromagnetic brake engages automatically and holds the cart on flat surfaces. On steep inclines, apply the manual brake as additional security.
- Infotainment Screen — 10.1" touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, reverse camera feed, and gauge cluster display including battery level and speed.
- Steering — rack and pinion, power-assisted. Turning radius is tight — suitable for paths, communities, and low-speed roads.
- 3-Point Seat Belts — standard at every seat. Always fasten before driving.
- Electromagnetic Brake — engages automatically when accelerator is released, providing controlled deceleration and hill-hold on moderate slopes.
- Reverse Camera — activates automatically when R (Reverse) is selected. View on the infotainment screen.
- Headlights & Tail Lights — street legal compliant. Ensure they are functional before operating on public roads after dark.
- Turn Signals & Horn — required for street legal operation. Located on the combination switch on the steering column.
- Inspect the cart for any shipping damage. If damage is found, document it immediately with photos and report to Nexon EV at nexonevfleet.com before operating.
- Locate the battery compartment. See battery location section below.
- Ensure the battery power switch (silver button with power icon, located on the side of the battery) is turned ON — it illuminates blue when active.
- Ensure the red kill switch on the battery is in the ON position.
- Perform a full charge cycle before your first drive. Connect the supplied smart charger and charge until the indicator shows solid green (5–8 hours from fully depleted).
- Verify all seat belts are functional at every seat.
- Test headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and horn before operating on public roads.
- Confirm the infotainment screen powers on and displays the Nexon startup logo.
- Check tire pressure — see specifications section for recommended PSI by tire type.
- Bring the cart to a complete stop.
- Place the gear selector in N (Neutral). The electromagnetic brake will hold the cart.
- Turn the ignition off (key to OFF position, or press the power button to shut down).
- Remove the key or key fob if equipped.
- Connect the charger if the cart will not be used for more than a few hours.
- Maximum speed is 25 MPH — fixed from the factory. Do not attempt to modify or override the speed limiter. Tampering with the speed setting voids the warranty entirely.
- Accelerate gradually, especially when starting from a stop. Abrupt full-throttle acceleration puts unnecessary strain on the motor and battery.
- Always allow 2–3 seconds after selecting D or R before pressing the accelerator.
- On inclines, the electromagnetic brake provides automatic hill-hold when the accelerator is released. Do not rely solely on this for extended parking on steep slopes — use the manual brake.
- Do not exceed the rated load capacity of 1,300 lbs. including passengers, cargo, and accessories.
- The cart uses a dual braking system: hydraulic drum brakes (brake pedal) and electromagnetic regenerative braking (automatic when accelerator is released).
- Apply the brake pedal smoothly and progressively. Avoid abrupt hard braking except in emergencies.
- Braking distance at 25 MPH is approximately 12 feet under normal conditions. Allow additional stopping distance on wet or loose surfaces.
- If brakes feel soft, spongy, or require excessive pedal travel — stop use immediately and contact Nexon EV.
- Come to a complete stop before switching between D and R.
- Select R, wait 2–3 seconds, then press the accelerator slowly.
- The reverse camera activates automatically on the infotainment screen. Always check surroundings visually before reversing.
- Maximum reverse speed is limited — do not force full throttle in reverse.
- Bring the cart to a complete stop and place the gear selector in N.
- The electromagnetic brake engages automatically in Neutral and holds the cart on flat and moderate slopes.
- For steeper inclines or extended parking, engage the manual parking brake as additional security.
- Turn the ignition off and remove the key or fob when leaving the cart unattended.
- Ensure the battery power switch on the side of the battery is ON (illuminated blue) and the red kill switch is in the ON position before connecting the charger.
- Plug the charger into a standard 110V–240V household outlet. No special outlet is required.
- Connect the charger plug to the charging port on the cart.
- The charge indicator light above the charging port will begin blinking red — this confirms charging has started.
- When charging is complete, the indicator turns solid green. The charger will automatically stop delivering power — it is safe to leave plugged in overnight.
- Input: 110V–240V, 50/60Hz — standard household outlet compatible worldwide.
- Full charge time: 5–8 hours from fully depleted.
- Output: 25A smart charger — automatically stops when full.
- Always use the supplied smart charger only. Non-approved chargers can damage the battery management system and void your warranty.
- Do not charge with a wet charging port. Dry thoroughly after rain or washing before connecting.
- Charge in temperatures between 32°F and 113°F. Avoid charging in direct sunlight or enclosed hot spaces.
Your Nexon EV is powered by a lithium-ion battery. Lithium batteries are significantly lighter and more efficient than lead-acid alternatives, with a rated range of 45–70 miles per charge under normal conditions. Proper care dramatically extends battery life and maintains the performance your cart was built to deliver.
- Charge after every use. Lithium batteries degrade faster when left at low state of charge. Plugging in after every ride is the single most impactful habit.
- Avoid letting the battery drop below 20% regularly. Occasional deep discharge is fine, but habitual deep cycling shortens lifespan.
- The smart charger stops automatically at full charge — it is safe to leave plugged in overnight.
- Store at 50–100% charge. If storing for more than 2 weeks, check charge monthly and top up if below 50%.
- Cold weather (below 40°F) temporarily reduces range by 15–25%. This is normal and reverses when temperatures rise.
Your Nexon EV golf cart meets all federal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) safety standards. It is equipped with headlights, tail lights, turn signals, mirrors, 3-point seat belts, a windshield, and a horn — all required for street legal operation. However, registration, insurance, and road compliance requirements vary by state and municipality. It is your responsibility as the owner to comply with all applicable laws.
- Registration: Most states require LSVs to be registered with the DMV. Register promptly after purchase. Contact your state DMV or Nexon EV for guidance.
- Insurance: Many states require liability insurance for LSVs on public roads. Contact your insurance provider to add your cart to your policy.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required to operate an LSV on public roads in most states.
- Road Speed Limits: LSVs are permitted on roads with posted speed limits of 35 MPH or less. Do not operate on highways or higher-speed roads.
- Lighting & Signals: Ensure headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and mirrors are functional before operating on public roads. Inspect monthly.
- Helmet Laws: Some states require helmets for LSV operation. Check your local regulations.

| Symptom | Likely Cause & Action |
|---|---|
| Cart won't power on | Check that the battery power switch (silver button on battery side) is illuminated blue and the red kill switch is pulled UP (ON). Check battery charge level — charge fully and retry. Check for a tripped breaker or blown fuse. |
| Cart powers on but won't move | Allow 2–3 seconds after powering on before selecting a gear, and 2–3 seconds after selecting D or R before pressing the accelerator. This is normal behavior — not a fault. |
| Charger not charging (blinking red & green) | Battery power switch is OFF. Press the silver power button on the battery until it illuminates blue. Confirm red kill switch is pulled UP (ON). Indicator should switch to blinking red. |
| Battery auto-switched off | Normal safety behavior after several days of inactivity. Press the silver power button on the battery to turn it back on before charging or driving. |
| Reduced range or battery drains fast | Normal in cold weather. Check tire pressure. Reduce load. If persistent at normal temperatures, contact Nexon EV — may indicate battery degradation. |
| Screen not powering on | Cycle the main cart power off and on. Check all wiring connections behind the dashboard. If screen remains dark after a full charge, contact Nexon EV. |
| Unusual motor noise | Clicking at low speed may indicate debris in drivetrain. Inspect undercarriage. High-pitched whine under load — reduce load and avoid steep inclines. Contact Nexon EV if persistent. |
| Brakes feel soft or spongy | Stop use immediately. Do not operate until inspected by a qualified technician. Contact Nexon EV. |
| Cart pulls to one side | Check tire pressure on both sides — uneven pressure is most common cause. If equal, inspect for damage. Persistent pulling — have alignment checked. |
| Bluetooth / screen issues | Hold the screen power button for 5 seconds to restart. Re-pair device. Full power cycle — turn cart off, wait 30 seconds, restart. |
| LEDs not working | Check the LED controller switch or remote. Inspect wiring connections at the affected strip. Reseat connectors before assuming component failure. |
| Cart slow or loses power under load | Check battery level — below 20% triggers power reduction. Reduce load. In extreme heat, battery management may throttle power to protect cells — allow cart to cool before resuming. |
